This all while gaining faster access to a wider range of apps, thus encouraging a higher frequency of downloads and increased ARPU. Myriad plans to pull back the curtains on Alien Dalvik 2. Users simply enjoy the same rich Android ecosystem they have become accustomed to via mobile on other key screens, such as playing Angry Birds on HDTV. The Myriad Group explains:įrom a user perspective, Alien Dalvik 2.0 is completely transparent and installed without user disruption. This support for the iPad will come in the form of Alien Dalvik 2.0, and will allow you to run android software smoothly and reliably. The Myriad Group have managed to port the Dalvik virtual machine, which is a software layer in the Android OS responsible for launching applications, to the iPad. If you have ever wanted the ability to run Android apps on your iPad, you are in luck.
